After missing her scheduled court appearance in a Queens, New York court on Monday, Cardi B has put herself at risk of becoming wanted by law enforcement. According to Judge Sean Dunn, a bench warrant was likely to be issued for the rapper’s arrest if she fails to show up to court for her next date, December 7.
Cardi B’s court date, pertaining to misdemeanor charges for an alleged assault at Angels stip club, was said to have the same date as an existing commitment for the star. Later, it was revealed that Cardi B was out, dressed as a tiger, to be in the “Twerk” music video for City Girls”.
“I apologize to the court. As you can see, my client is not here today. It is due to poor communication and poor coordination. This is not an instance where the defendant is elevating her interests above the court or the people,” Cardi’s lawyer Jeff Kern told the judge.
After being issued a warning for Friday’s 9 a.m court appearance, it is likely that she will show up in front of the judge, especially since she is due to be in the state later that day to perform at Z-100’s annual Jingle Ball concert.
