3 Dead at Apartment Complex In Austin

Sunday 11:42 a. m. in northwest Austin three people were killed in a shooting at Great Hills in the Arboretum area in a apartment complex. The scene was was said to be a active shooting situation. Austin Police Department now claims that the situate was a “isolated domestic event”. 

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene. Residents   and all in the vicinity should avoid this area. If you are in this area please shelter in place. There are 15 EMS responders on the scene along with APD SWAT. Loop 360 will be shut down from Spicewood Springs to U.S. 183 until further notice. As of right now APD says there is no threat to the public. 

UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as Stephen Broderick, 41. Broderick is a former Travis County Sheriff's Office detective who was previously placed on administrative leave after being accused of sexual assault of a child. He had an upcoming court date for the allegations on May 6.
