A woman and a 5-year-old child were forced to help a man get away from detectives at gunpoint, according to KSDK.

The incident began at around 6:06pm on Monday in Jennings. St. Louis County police department claimed that they were trying to stop three men in a stolen car. The police detectives used tire strikes to disable the car, which came to a stop near the Buzz Westfall Plaza at West Florissant Avenue and Lucas and Hunt Road.

Police have said that the three men inside of the stolen car tried to run away, and detectives were able to quickly arrest two of them between the ages of 19 and 23 years old. The third suspect, however, got away in an armed kidnapping situation.

The man walked up to the woman in an Aldi parking lot. The man pulled out a gun and ordered the woman to drive him out of the area with the 5-year-old child still in the car.

The women and child were not harmed but the man is still wanted by police.
