Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson Dies At 26

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson died at the age of 26.

The cause of death is believed to be a possible overdose, according to the Baltimore Police Dept.

Ferguson was found unresponsive in his home around 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday and he never regained consciousness as medics worked on the football star. He was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no signs of foul play, according to police.

The Ravens announced Ferguson’s passing and gave their condolences. "We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson, "He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon's family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon."

Ferguson was drafted out of Louisiana Tech in 2019. "The LA Tech Family mourns this morning's tragic news of the sudden death of former Bulldog great, Jaylon Ferguson," the Louisiana Tech football team tweeted. "We will remember his God-given talents on the field and his infectious personality off of it. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."

Ferguson leaves behind two daughters and a son.
