With her birthday right around the corner, legendary actress, comedian and icon Betty White has passed away at the age of 99. According to TMZ, law enforcement officials confirmed that White passed away while in her home on Friday morning.

Most recently, the actress was gearing up for her 100th birthday on January 17. In celebration of the big milestone, a birthday celebration for the actress was set to premiere in theaters for one day only. At this time, it is unclear if the film will still debut.

With over 8 decades in the entertainment industry, Betty White has over 100 acting credits under her belt, along with numerous awards and achievements.

"Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever," her agent and close friend Jeff Witjas tells PEOPLE in a statement on Friday. "I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don't think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again."

White starred in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "The Betty White Show”, “The Golden Girls", "Hot In Cleveland", "Mama's Family" and dozens more!
