In Pennsylvania, a Catholic school is facing consequences after accidentally selling fake flowers containing thong underwear to its students.
The school, St. Anselm’s Catholic School, were selling faux roses for a Mother’s Day plant sale and were giving students the chance to buy gifts for the special women in their life. Upon receiving the gifts, parents discovered underwear hidden in the petals of the flowers.
In a statement, Chief Communication Officer Ken Gavin stated that “immediate steps” were taken upon the discovery and that a “very limited number” of flowers were sold prior to the incident.
“We sincerely regret any embarrassment and discomfort that was caused and wish all mothers in the community a Happy and Blessed Mother’s Day with hearts full of gratitude,” Gavin continued.
In an email sent out to parents, the school stated that the stunt was a part of a mixup and that officials were working to get to the bottom of things.
