All the animosity. All the buildup for the longest 5 minutes in UFC history. Connor McGregor loses to Dustin Poirier by TKO within Round 1 of the Main Event. The TKO was called by a doctor stoppage with a serious left leg, injury.

Now, we have Connor McGregor do amazing things in his UFC career. He was the undisputed champion of the world. Conquering belts in two weight classes. Now, he has a hard time getting back on track. With all respect to Connor, all McGregor does is run his mouth. McGregor said, to quote him loosely, “Poirier is going out with a stretcher…” When in doubt, McGregor was the one on a stretcher. Like I said, in the MMA World, McGregor has an amazing track record.

Now, Dustin Poirier had a mission. Poirier succeed that mission, and in the face of chaos, he still was the bigger man of the fight. “"I hope this guy gets home safe to his beautiful family." (Poirier | ESPN+/ UFC PPV).

From CNET, “Regardless of the result, McGregor was losing this fight comprehensively. It was called a doctor's stoppage in the end. Afterwards, Joe Rogan conducted an interview with McGregor as he was getting his leg attended to. He claimed this was "not over". But realistically, it's hard to tell when McGregor will be back -- if he'll be back. Poirier made reference to karma playing a part here, given how low McGregor stooped in the lead up.”

So will we see part four of this story, well we will just have to wait and see. Official word of McGregor’s leg will be released tomorrow.
