Dave Grohl announced that he will be publishing a new book entitled “The Storyteller” on October 5th under Dey Street Books, according to Rolling Stone

The book will be based around Grohl’s formative years that made him into the man and musician that he is today, according to a release printed. It will be made up of stories and musings on music from his life and career and will include stories about Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and playing drums for Tom Petty.

“There is a common thread that runs throughout everything that I do: storytelling,” Grohl has said earlier in a statement. “Whether in song, documentary film, or on the page, I have always felt compelled to share moments from my life. This inclination is a huge part of what excites me creatively but also as a human being.”

Grohl also noted that his book “The Storyteller” was conceived in part out of the Instagram account that Grohl created called @DavesTrueStories, after the pandemic brought touring to a halt. The account gave him a space for his creative energy and to reflect on some of his stories.
