It seems that Peacock has decided to put Demi Lavato in the forefront of a limited scripted series about UFOs, according to Variety.

In “Unidentified with Demi Lavato”, the singer/songwriter, her skeptical friend Matthew and her sister Dallas will attempt to uncover any truths about UFO phenomena. They will also consult with lead experts and investigate recent eyewitness encounters, while surveying government reports.

Peacock has given the show a four-episode order. Lavato will serve as the executive producer, as well as star in the show. Scooter Braun, Scott Manson and Allison Kaye will executive produce for SB Projects. JD Roth, Adam Greener and Sara Hansemann will executive produce for GoodStory Entertainment. Andrew Nock also executive produces. The series is produced by GoodStory Entertainment in association with SB Projects.

“Unidentified” is the latest project that Lavato has set up at NBCUniversal and NBC announced in April that they had given out a pilot order to the comedy “Hungry”.

Lavato has multiple platinum and gold singles to her name. She got her start in acting and appeared in the DIsney Channel original film “Camp Rock” and its sequels.
