Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was arrested in Colorado Thursday after police responded to an emergency call about a domestic incident.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. after the mother of his 1-month-old daughter accused Jeudy of withholding her property as she was attempting to leave the residence.

A press conference was held and The Arapahoe County Sheriff, Tyler Brown emphasized that Jeudy did not physically assault the woman nor damage her property during the disagreement, TMZ reports.

Jeudy was charged with second-degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer, a misdemeanor. According to ESPN, Jeudy was not allowing the woman to retrieve her wallet, the child’s car seat, and medical papers from his vehicle.

The woman says that she was not trying to get Jeudy in trouble but she needed her personal belongings so she could leave the state and head back to Virginia.

He will not be able to bond out and will have to spend the night in jail until his court appearance at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

Jeudy was a Broncos first-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL season and a former University of Alabama star.
