J. Cole, 36, is expected to make his debut for Rwandan side the Patriots BBC in the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League Sunday, ESPN reports.

The "Middle Child" rapper was filmed shortly after landing in Rwanda on Saturday (May 8th) and is currently quarantining to be eligible to play on Sunday.

Born Jermaine Lamarr Cole, the multi-platinum rapper starred at Sanford (North Carolina) High School and was a walk-on at St. John university before turning his attention to music before even stepping on the court for the team.

The signing won't be official until Thursday. The Patriots are slated to play against Nigeria's Rivers Hoopers on Sunday.

In music news, he just released his tracklist for his long awaited album called "Off Season" that comes out on Friday at midnight.
