Multi-award-winning Grammy rapper Kendrick Lamar is back with his fifth studio album "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers" and it’s just in time for Memorial Day Weekend but to fans, it’s lyrical Christmas.

On Wednesday many were buzzing about a photo that Lamar posted to his Instagram account of the birth of his second child but now it’s all about the 18 released tracks featuring Summer Walker, Blxst, Sampha, Taylour Paige, Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Kodak Black and more.

The album has a nostalgic feel to it but that quickly changes when you get to the track “N95” with its uptempo beat and layered chorus. There are so many of Kendrick’s styles in just that one song. Another favorite was “Die Hard” featuring Blxst and Amanda Reifer. Okay, this wouldn’t be a story if I didn’t acknowledge actress Taylour Paige who got my attention with the many F-Bombs and curse words that she dropped in the toxic but fabulous relationship song “We Cry Together”. Summer Walker sprinkled her sweet R&B vocals and provided what’s sure to be a hit single with “Purple Hearts”. Kodak Black and Kendrick teamed up for a hot club song with “Silent Hill'' that highlighted Black's talents as an artist. Kendrick knew the assignment because he created something for everyone in this collection. You've just got to listen to see which ones are your favorites. More than likely it will be the entire project.

This will be Lamar’s final album for Top Dawg Entertainment. It’s truly a hip-hop masterpiece and shows why it took five years to be released.
