ESPN has decided to cut ties with ex-NBA superstar Paul Pierce all after he posted a video of a twerking session of women that he was with a few skimpy-dressed women, according to TMZ

It is unclear if that video had anything to do with his firing, but it has drawn a lot of attention over the course of the weekend.

The timing of this firing is also very interesting, considering the fact that NBA season is a long way from being over. Meanwhile, Pierre spent 3 ½ years on ESPN appearing on “NBA Countdown” and “The Jump”.

The ex-Celtics player has addressed his split on Twitter saying, “Big things coming soon stay tuned make sure u smile #Truthshallsetufree.”

Pierce took to Instgram to comment about his termination, saying "I want to that my supporters, thank all my haters. If you call twice, you get up three times. Just always remeber to smile baby". Bigger and better things on the Way #truth"

Pierce previously played 19 seasons in the NBA before joining ESPN.
